LHISD student registration begins August 8

Registration for new and returning students in the Liberty Hill Independent School District begins Wednesday, August 8.

Registration for students returning to LHISD in the 2012-13 school year is now on-line. The On-Line Registration System allows parents to complete the most common registration forms electronically, eliminating thousands of paper copies, saving parents time, and increasing staff efficiency.

On-line registration begins Wednesday, Aug. 8 and ends Monday, Aug. 28.

Parents may choose to register returning students on the computer in Skyward Family Access or on paper. Forms to request paper registration were sent home at the end of the school year and are still available in campus offices. Registration packets will be sent home with returning students who have not registered.

To update the home address, parents must present a current driver’s license and utility bill and complete a new Proof of Residency form at Central Office, 14001 W. Hwy. 29. Forms to update a student’s race/ethnicity or home language are available in campus offices.

New Students

Enrollment is open to new students who live within district boundaries. Registration for new students is from 8 am to 4 pm on Wednesday, Aug. 8 through Friday, Aug. 10. Parents of students new to the district must complete registration on paper.

To enroll a new student, a parent/guardian must:

1. Provide a current driver’s license and a utility bill at the District Administration Building, 14001 W. Hwy. 29, and complete a Proof of Residency form and Registration Form.

2. Present the Residency and Registration forms to campus staff along with a birth certificate, proof of immunizations, and social security card, and complete campus forms.

Testing for Placement or Acceleration

Students enrolling after being homeschooled or attending a private school, and those who desire credit for acceleration, will be tested for proper placement. Contact the appropriate campus counselor immediately to arrange for testing to be conducted August 14, 15, and 16.

Students living outside the Liberty Hill ISD boundaries must apply for transfer and be accepted before attending any Liberty Hill school. Specific requirements for enrolling a student are linked to the main district web page under Quick Links.
