Foust, WesleyWesley O. Foust, age 88, a lifelong resident of Liberty Hill, Texas passed away on January 5, 2015. He was born September 30, 1926 in Liberty Hill to Durwood and Ollie (Myers) Foust. He married Nina Imogene Roberts on December 20, 1944 in Liberty Hill. Wesley was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church in Liberty Hill.

Mr. Foust served as a Williamson County Commissioner for 28 years (1962-1990). He served as president of Williamson County Finance Corp., Williamson County committee on Austin Transportation Study Committee, accepted in Who’s Who in Government in 1990, and had the only precinct in Williamson County with all paved roads. He took the lead in renovating the old jail to meet Jail Commission Standards, and was also appointed by the Commissioners Court to lead in construction of new Criminal Justice and Jail buildings. He was instrumental in building the Annexes in Anderson Mill and Round Rock as well as negotiating land purchases for Cedar Park Annex and was successful in securing the funds to construct the Annex. Commissioner Foust secured additional funds for the Battered Women’s Center, supported the creation of an Animal Control Program and was instrumental in bringing EMS to Williamson County.

Mr. Foust and his wife lived on their place for 55 years. He called it “God’s Country” and their “Peaceful Valley”. Wesley loved Ranching and raising his Brangus cattle that he herded with his old beat up, scratched 1978 pickup that he called his horse. He and his dog Jake spent many an hour watching the cattle, turkey and deer that roamed their place.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene Foust; sons, Larry Foust (Maydale), Ronnie Foust (Ann), Alan Foust (Barbara); daughter, Karen Schmidt (Bert); granddaughters, Dana Green, Molly Tumlinson, Angie Cullins, Kelley Perry, Jessica Briggs, M.D., Amanda Briggs; grandsons, Bryan Foust, Scott Foust, Jeff Foust, Alan Wesley Foust, Jr.; 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Graydon, Grantford, Neal, Tom; sister, Ann Dennis.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at Ramsey Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11:00 am at Ramsey Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Butts officiating. Burial will follow the service at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Union Hall Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Remodeling Fund 301 CR 259 Liberty Hill, TX 78642.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Bryan Foust, Scott Foust, Jeff Foust, Alan Wesley Foust, Jr., Steve Green, Ricky Tumlinson, Joel Cullins and Keith Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Dana Green, Molly Tumlinson, Angie Cullins, Kelley Perry, Kristen Foust, Jessica Briggs and Amanda Briggs.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Bertram Nursing Home and St. David’s Hospital in Georgetown and also to Dr. John Boyd, his primary care physician for the wonderful care he gave him for so many years.
