Team Realty formed to promote home ownership
By Dana Delgado
When Amy Whitmeyer, Janet Widmer and David Widmer recently formed Team Realty of Texas Group in Liberty Hill, the achievement of home ownership got a lot easier and far less complex.
“Our goal is to help people feel more invested in the community through home ownership,” said Amy Whitmeyer, realtor and owner of San Gabriel Realty of Liberty Hill. “The apartments here have a waiting list of over 200 people and the new income requirement apartments being built already have a waiting list. We are trying to keep people informed about their options in home ownership and lending opportunities most people are unaware of and are using our business to serve and to pay forward the blessings that God has bestowed upon us in our lives and on our company.”
Experienced and accomplished in their own fields from real estate, to lending, to construction, the Team Realty of Texas Group has set up offices at 1201 Loop 332, Suite 100 in Liberty Hill.
Whitmeyer, Widmer and Widmer, all local residents with strong roots in the area and active in a variety of service projects in the community, joined forces with one purpose in mind – to support and help guide individuals in realizing their dream of owning their own home.
“We pride ourselves on communicating with our customers throughout the entire home buying process by educating and keeping the customer well informed,” said Mrs. Widmer, a senior loan officer with over 16 years of experience. “It’s amazing what happens to people when they are treated with respect and dignity. I’ve been very blessed to have been able to help people become homeowners.”
Mrs. Widmer had a meteoric rise in the lending business after starting as a junior processor. After the company she was working for was bought out by a Michigan bank, Widmer became a loan officer, originating loans throughout Williamson County and quickly ascended to being a top originator for different companies she has been affiliated with. She has been a 5-Star Mortgage Professional for the last three years and has been featured in Texas Monthly Magazine.
With an emphasis on information sharing and simplifying the lending process, Mrs. Widmer said she gives those seeking homeownership “hope and enlightenment.”
“We want people to think of our Liberty Hill office as an information place,” she said. “We have the knowledge, skills and experience to serve the community.”
“We don’t just have clients,” said realtor Amy Whitmeyer, “we make friends.”
After focusing on the Austin real estate market for years, Whitmeyer is concentrating her efforts in Liberty Hill, her hometown.
“As a full service real estate professional, I work with buyers, sellers, and investors in real estate transactions spanning all the price ranges and property types,” Mrs. Whitmeyer said. “My residential single family services connect buyers with sellers every day, and I do it with professionalism and a total dedication to my clients. This property type is the majority of my market transactions, but by far not the only one in which I have expertise.”
Whitmeyer also handles commercial and multi-family properties as well as condominiums, and vacant land. The veteran realtor said she is excited to be a part of such an experienced team.
“I’ve learned a lot from my teammates,” she said. “We all have the same ideas, the same work ethic, are very professional and are all committed to quality customer service.”
The third member of the team is David Widmer, owner of Widmer Construction and Development — a Liberty Hill based company recognized for quality, fully finished projects on-time and within budget.
“At Widmer Construction & Development, we don’t just deliver quality home construction and remodeling services, we give our clients something more important – peace of mind,” he said. “Knowing your prized investment is in expert care is a feeling unlike any other. With over 30 years of solid experience in the Texas construction industry, we have a thorough understanding of how everything works, and what it would take to do the job right, each and every time. Our goal, as always, is to achieve total customer satisfaction with each project brought to completion.”
The group offers regular workshops and seminars on a variety of topics to answer all questions and provide clarity about the home-buying process. The informational sessions are offered in the office conference room as well as at sites around the community. A meal is generally included and day care is provided upon request. Registration is recommended.
A grand opening and open house is slated for this spring.
