Robert Gene Case
Robert was born September 18, 1988 in Austin, Texas to Jeff Case and Catherine Rock. He grew up on the Rock Family Ranch and was a true country boy and proud Texan through and through. He never went anywhere without his cowboy hat and boots, and he had a great appreciation for BBQ and sweet tea. Robert loved working on the ranch with his Granddad, driving tractors, shooting guns, and riding around in his big Dodge diesel truck with his faithful dog Cinch by his side.
After graduating with honors from Liberty Hill High School in 2007, he attended Tarleton State University, majoring in Animal Science. Robert had the utmost compassion for animals and planned on becoming a large animal vet one day.
Robert was known for his deep dedication and long-term loyalty to his family and friends. He was especially devoted to his mom and readily proclaimed that she and God were the source of his inspiration and motivation.
Robert was preceded in death by great-grandmothers Jewell Newton and Earlene Cloud and grandfather Gene Case.
He is survived by his mother Catherine Rock, father Jeff Case, sisters Caitlin Case and Julia Case, grandparents Robert and Verree Rock, grandmother Lois Case, aunts and uncles Terri Rock and Harry Papadopoulos, Sandy and Randy Pierce, Julie and Randy Mumm, Jennifer Rock, numerous cousins and his beloved nephew, Carson Rock.
A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life was held on February 17, 2014, at the Liberty Hill Cemetery with Nick Russo officiating.
