The Panthers ran all over the visiting Waco Connally Cadets for the 47-7 win at Panther Stadium Friday night in Liberty Hill’s Homecoming game.

Jon Shannon owned the night, scoring the Panthers’ first three touchdowns on 1-yard, 3-yard and 4-yard runs, to put Liberty Hill up 21-0.

A 35-yard field goal by Slade Cummins increased the lead to 24.

With time running off the clock to close out the first half, quarterback Garrett Wright threw a 35-yard pass to Freddie White to make the score 31-0 at the break.

Connally’s lone score for the night came in the third quarter on a 6-yard touchdown run.

Liberty Hill’s offense wasn’t done, with Shannon adding another touchdown run, this time from 23-yards out.

Two series later, with Connally facing a first and 10 from the 1-yard line, the Panthers came up with the safety for two more points.

On the ensuing possession, Liberty Hill found the end zone again with a 2-yard run from Justin Burkett.

With the win, the Panthers even the season with a 2-2 record. Liberty Hill will host Abilene Wylie next Friday for Senior Night at Panther Stadium.
