Lady Panthers down Eastside in straight sets
By Scott Akanewich
When Emma Parsons sets a ball, it usually ends up being a kill.
In fact, that was the case on 24 such occasions during the Lady Panthers 3-0, (25-5, 25-7, 25-11) home victory over Eastside Memorial on Friday when the Liberty Hill sophomore setter did so.
Six of Parsons’ helpers went to senior Emily Huppee, who led the Lady Panthers with six kills on the match, while Kindsee Escamilla and Emma Becker each added five.
Becker also added eight assists, with Ailie Hair getting a pair of blocks. Ashley Nelson had five digs and Haley Kuhlmann and Becker each were credited with four apiece, while Nelson served four aces and Parsons three.
Liberty Hill (36-13, 9-0) has now won 18 consecutive matches and will close the regular season with a match at Taylor on Oct. 29.
