Kathleen Marie Strait Sprinkle
Kathleen Marie Strait Sprinkle was born March 13, 1961 to Emma and H.D. Tex Strait in Louisville, KY. She was number 8 of 8 children, a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by husband Doug Sprinkle, daughter Saybl Sprinkle, sisters Pat Magid, Mary Babb, Linda Farnie, Joanne Lewis; brothers Dean Strait, Henry Strait and Robert Strait. Too many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews to count.
Everyone she met was welcomed into her life and every stray animal a potential adoptee.
She had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve known and was a fiercely loyal advocate for everyone lucky enough to call her a friend
A true Child of God, she embodied the Christ like way of never judging and always having a kind and encouraging word. She was not one to shy away from controversy, not using the occasions for confrontation but as an opportunity to be the healer, the voice of reason, and the peacemaker. Emma would be proud and that is about the best thing anyone can say about another human. Like Jesus she preferred the company of sinners and outcasts, always lifting them up and never putting them down.
Like a spectacular celestial event, she was bright and shining but was too short lived. She will never be forgotten by anyone that was fortunate enough to be part of her life, no matter how peripheral the relationship.
We will all miss her terribly, me especially.
In lieu of flowers please donate goods to your local animal shelter in Kathleen’s name.
