Longtime Liberty Hill resident, Janetta Brunner, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 30, 2016. She was 82 years old and had just celebrated her 62nd wedding anniversary to her lifelong partner and sweetheart, Thomas L. Brunner.
Janetta was born in Quincy, Illinois to Leo and Onita Cosgrove, but had lived in Texas since 1973. She raised four daughters (aka “The Brunner Girls”) and was as good a momma as a girl could hope to have.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her two eldest daughters, Toni Mitchell and Jeanne Rich; and two youngest daughters, Lori Nell Saunders and Ann Marie Kanakis (both LHHS graduates). She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren; Kelsey Rich-Grant and Dana Rich-Burnich, Matthew and Katie Staton, Gracie Mitchell-Tyson, and Michael and Zoe Kanakis. In addition, she was the proud great-grandmother to nine terrific grandbabies: Kali Whitmire, Ben and Libby Grant, Oliver and Kali Staton, Darby and Owen Burnich, Rosalie and Roscoe Tyson were her joy.
We will miss our precious momma, but have no doubt that she was met at the gate by her two favorite “Wandas” – her sister Wanda Lee with the laughs and Wanda Lane with the coffee.
There will not be a service at this time and, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to: Operation Liberty Hill, 1401 Hwy 183, Leander TX 78641.
