James Scott Haydon
James Scott Haydon went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2014 in North Highlands, California.
Jim was born November 28, 1935 in Austin’s Breckenridge Hospital to James Jackson Haydon and Evelyn Odessa Wall.
He married Jorita Hagins in Southside Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas in 1961.
From this marriage two children were born Virginia Camille (Camay) and James Owner Haydon.
He married Eula Atwood Tharp May 31, 1974.
James Scott (Jim) served 20 years in the Air Force and worked 20 years in civil service establishing Doppler Radars across the country. He was very active in First Baptist Church in North Highlands.
He is survived by his wife, Eula, A daughter Camay Guelker of Rotan, Texas, a son James Owner Haydon, Leander, Texas, a sister, Marylyn Ann Cox, Bastrop; a step-daughter Robyn.
Also three grandchildren, David DuMenil, China Springs, Texas; Jeffry Scott DuMenil, Amarillo, Texas; three great-grandchildren; two nieces, two nephews and several great grand nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James J, Haydon and Evelyn Wall Haydon. Also his brother in law, Clyde Cox, Bastrop, Texas and a step-son Pat from North Highlands, California.
Viewing was September 2, 2014 at First Baptist Church, North Highlands and services were September 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors was at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes in Sacramento, California.
