Howard Puckett, 83 of Liberty Hill passed away on Sunday, May 20th, 2018.
He was a member of Cross Tracks Methodist Church. He also proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a Lifetime Member of the VFW and was a past Master of the Liberty Hill Masonic Lodge. He retired from IBM in 1990. After retirement he found that he loved working on lawn mowers. He took great pride in being able to fix the unfixable lawn mower.
He was born June 16, 1934 in Tazewell, Virginia, to Jesse Howard and Mary Gillespie Puckett. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Kimberly; grandson, Zachary; brother, Alvin Warren Sr.; sister Alice Huey; and his favorite companion, his cat Minnie.
Howard is survived by his beloved wife Gloria, children; Charlotte Barnes and husband Zane of Georgetown, Texas; Dianna Dooley and husband Darrell of Houston, Texas; Beth Griffin and husband Jeff of Arlington, Texas; sister Mary Ellen Simmons of Tazewell, Virginia; and twin brother James Puckett and wife Peggy of Radcliff, Kentucky; 5 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson, along with many family members and dear friends.
Funeral service is Thursday, May 24, at 11 a.m. at Cross Tracks Methodist Church, Liberty Hill, TX. Interment to follow service at Liberty Hill Cemetery. The family will receive guests for a time of visitation one hour before the service at Cross Tracks Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Fieldcamp officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
