The Liberty Hill Lions Club is preparing for the 22nd annual Thrill of the Hill 5K Run/Walk March 30 at Durham Park subdivision.
The route is generally flat with enough grade and curves to keep runners interested. Young and old alike are welcome as are walkers and runners, both fast and not so fast.
Homemade refreshments are provided.
The race begins at 8:30 a.m.
Money raised goes to support the philanthropic work of the Lions. Two of the main projects that the group supports are Lions Foundation Park and scholarships for Liberty Hill High School seniors. Others include the Lions camp in Kerrville for handicapped children and eyeglasses for local children and adults.
Sponsors for the event include Union State Bank, Flying H Fitness, Winkley’s Hardware, Anytime Fitness, Classic Bank, Hill Country Braces, Prosperity Bank and Certified Arbor Care.
