Edward John Krohne
Edward J. (Ed) Krohne passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in his home, on June 13. He would have turned 62 on Father’s Day (June 19th).
Ed will be remembered as a builder, a learner, and a great home cook. His insatiable curiosity and love of learning took him through many complex and diverse hobbies, each of which he dove into fully and mastered. He built rockets and model planes, made beautiful jewelry, played many musical instruments, was an Amateur Radio operator, and loved to fish, ski, ride his motorcycle, and cook. His lasagna is legendary. Ed was a self-taught and successful firmware engineer for decades before graduating from Metro State University of Denver in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister Jan. He is survived by his wife, Judy Krohne, and two children from his first marriage, Dr. Edward W. Krohne and Kathleen (Katie) Krebs and her husband Karl Krebs. He is survived by two sisters, many nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren, Audrey and Oskar Krebs.
