Clyde Wesley Ray


img041Clyde Wesley Ray, born January 5, 1933, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby Ray. Also surviving him are his three children, Greg Ray and wife Donna, Gwen Hines and husband Steve, and Gary Ray and wife Eileen.

In addition, he is leaving behind grandchildren, Kelli Meier and husband Ryan, Lori Hines, Travis Ray, Brandon Ray and wife Nathania, Caleb Ray, Kyle Ray and wife Lisa, CPL Tyler Ray USMC and wife Courtney, Jaleen Daniel and Corey Daniel; also, great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kacey, Brittany, John, Rick, Jaynelin; as well as five siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clyde was known for his generous nature and deer hunting was his favorite pastime, but even more important to Clyde was his family and he loved spending time with them most of all. Clyde leaves a legacy and an example of love, integrity, and honoring the Lord in all that he did. The Ray family previously resided in Liberty Hill.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Mamie & Lester Ray, brother Lonnie Wayne Ray, and sister Alice Thorp.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening, August 9, at Niday Funeral Home, 6777 Fairmont Pkwy, Pasadena, TX.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, August 10, at First Baptist Church Pasadena at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.  There will be a 2 p.m. gravesite service and interment will be conducted at Grand View Cemetery, Pasadena.

Pallbearers are Travis Ray, Kyle Ray, Brandon Ray, Caleb Ray, Corey Daniel and Ryan Meier. Honorary Pallbearer is Cpl. Tyler Ray USMC Japan.
