Christopher Keith Churchill
He was born in Austin, Texas on February 29, 1980. He graduated from Liberty Hill High School and The University of Texas. He is the beloved son of Keith Churchill and Deborah McGehee West, and brother to Spencer Churchill and Becky West, and grandson to his surviving grandmother Mary McGehee.
Kit lived every day of his life with the wonder of a child and the wisdom of the ancients. Fittingly, although Kit was technically 34, he would argue that, as a leap year baby, he was really only 8½. Either way, he left us much too soon.
He was kind, gentle and passionate about life. He read voraciously, spoke eloquently, thought deeply, and wrote beautifully. He was always up for an adventure and traveled frequently, whether around the state, the country, or the world. He argued forcefully but respectfully and was equally gracious, win or lose. He gave freely of himself, asking nothing in return. He was a loving and devoted son and brother. He was, quite literally, a modern renaissance man; technically savvy, intellectually adventurous, and artistically gifted. He was quite simply the best.
On Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. his family and many friends (his extended family) will come together at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church to visit with each other, and with Kit one last time, followed by a service as he is laid to rest.
Pall bearers include Spencer Churchill, his cousin Tres Churchill, old friends Brent Calvin and Kevin Searcy, and new friends Derek Trainer and Khai Ma. In addition, Russell Churchill and Van Calvin will serve as honorary pall bearers.
