mynard newspapterCharles Robert Mynard, 92, of Liberty Hill, Texas, passed away at his home on March 13, 2016. He was born on September 29, 1923, in Marshall, Texas, to Aubrey Green Mynard and Agnes Vining Mynard.

Mr. Mynard proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Air Force during World War II; was a graduate of the University of Texas; served as the Senior Vice-President of the First National Bank of Santa Fe, NM and a retired CPA. In 1962, he was initiated into the Masonic Lodge in Corpus Christ, Texas and was a current member of the Liberty Hill Masonic Lodge #432. After returning to Texas in 1980, he was successful in helping to secure ambulance service for the Liberty Hill Fire Department and in 1983 became Treasurer for the Liberty Hill ISD Board.

Mr. Mynard was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Agnes Mynard and brother, Gene Mynard.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Lee Mynard of Liberty Hill; brother, William Mynard (Elaine) of Silsbee; sister, Margaret Hoelscher of Corpus Christi; five children, Charles Randall Mynard (Maran) of Payson, Arizona; Lee Mynard (Mary) of Laredo; Melinda Mynard of Leander; Pamela Mynard of Liberty Hill; and Cynthia Mynard of Springfield, Virginia. Grandchildren: John Milton, Travis Mynard, Tyler Mynard, Hunter Mynard, Carson Mynard, Kelly Goff, Ryon Degenhardt, Charles Degenhardt, Jacqueline Frame, Erik Olsen, Kevan Olsen, and Olivia Olsen; and nine great grandchildren, Erfan, Alexander, Abigail, Gabriella, Genevieve, Ashlyn, Caleb, Elijah, and Anna.

Visitation was held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park, Texas. Graveside services were held at 11:30 am, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Hopewell Cemetery, Liberty Hill, Texas.

Honoring him as pallbearers are Lee Mynard, Charles Degenhardt, John Milton, Randy Mynard, Travis Mynard, Tyler Mynard, and Hunter Mynard. Honorary pallbearers are Erik Olsen and Kevan Olsen.
