The Liberty Hill City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, in the Council Chamber.
The Liberty Hill Economic Development Corp. Board of Directors will hold a workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, in the Council Chamber. On the agenda are the following topics for discussion: EDC Mission Statement; Roles of Chamber, City, EDC and Ad Hoc Committee; Prioritize business types and categories to recruit; Budget; Quarterly Report/Annual Report; Advisory committee; and Website.

LHISD sponsored parenting program on two nights — Dec. 6 and 8 — facilitated by Kim Williamson, a school counselor with over 20 years experience working with parents and children. Mr. Williamson is also an adjunct professor in Psychology and Human Development for Austin Community College.
Raise A Kid R.I.G.H.T. emphasizes positive parent attitudes and practices that are geared toward fostering cooperation and compliance from their children. The acronym RIGHT stands for Respect, Invest, Grant, Humor, and Teach. “This is a very straight-forward, back-to-basics type of approach to raising kids,” said Mr. Williamson
The class is for parents with children of all ages. The class will be from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the elementary school. No childcare will be provided. Call 515-6514 for questions.
A benefit for Hope House of Austin and Bastrop Volunteer Fire Departments. Adults $25, Children $5. Music by The Chubby Knuckle Choir, serving up “Roots music from a country that never existed, but should have.” Also, the Peterson Brothers and Jeff Haney Band.
