Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce will open new office July 16
The Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new office with a breakfast at 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 16.
The new office is located at 155 Hillcrest, Suite A in the San Gabriel Crossing Apartments in Liberty Hill.
Guest speakers for the event include City Manager Greg Boatright, Chief of Police Randy Williams, Planning & Zoning Commission Chairman Clyde Davis, Mayor Jamie Williamson, and representatives from the City’s Economic Development Corp. and Williamson County Emergency Services District #4.
VFW Pancake Supper
The Liberty Hill VFW will host its monthly Pancake Supper from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.
The all-you-can-eat supper features pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for $5 per person or $15 maximum for families.
The Pancake Supper, a monthly fundraiser for the VFW, is held on the third Tuesday evening of each month.
This month’s event also benefits the Liberty Hill Girl Scouts.
Have you been cleaning this summer? Don’t want to have a garage sale, but would like to make a little cash?
The Liberty Hill United Methodist Ladies will sponsor a Junk in Your Trunk Sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at the church.
Bring the items you want to sell, leave them in the trunk of your car and sell them right there, or rent a space inside the air conditioned multi-purpose building.
If you have so much stuff that you need lawn space, that is available as well. You will be able to sell out of the back of your pickup or from the back of your trailer.
Inside spaces are $20, and proceeds from the indoor rental space will be used for care packages for the students and families in need in our community.

Sales Tax holiday is Aug. 9-11
The recent passage of Senate Bill 485 (83rd Regular Legislative Session, 2013) changes the dates of this year’s annual Sales Tax Holiday to Aug. 9-11, a week earlier than previously scheduled. The law became effective immediately.
The Sales Tax Holiday gives Texas shoppers a break from state and local sales taxes on most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100.
Shoppers can save up to $8.25 for every $100 they spend.
