Rip Roarin’ Ride @ Lions Foundation Park

The Liberty Hill Lions Club is hosting the 11th Annual Rip Roarin’ Ride at 8 a.m. Sept. 29 at Lions Foundation Park.

The cycling event benefits the many Lions Vision Programs, both locally and across the world. The organization also supports programs like the Leader Dog Program, camp for handicapped kids, Eye Bank in Manor, eye exams and eyeglassesrecycling, and a park for youth sports, community events, walking trails, public library and picnic area.

The ride begins at 8 a.m. from the Foundation Park and features routes of 14, 28, 50, 65 and 79 miles through the scenic rolling hills and valleys of Williamson and Burnet counties. Cyclists are invited to enjoy the beginning of fall in the Hill Country.

Registration is $30 through Sept. 26. After that date, the price increases to $40. Registration and further information can be found at or call (512) 630-1851.

Liberty Hill Garden Club Games Day @ Liberty Hill United Methodist Church

The Liberty Hill Garden Club will host its 16th Annual Games Day Oct. 17 at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church to raise money for college scholarships.

The event begins at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and rolls and games begin at 10 a.m.

The Garden Club presents two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors of Liberty Hill High School every spring. Proceeds from the Games Day event go to fund the scholarships.

In addition to games, door prizes will be presented. The event also features a raffle and silent auction, a bake sale and plant sale and country store.

The event is open to the public and tickets are $15 each at the door.

Early Voting in Liberty Hill @ Liberty Hill Annex

Early Voting begins Monday, Oct. 22, and runs through Nov. 2. The Williamson County Mobile Voting Unit will be in Liberty Hill Oct. 26-27 from 10 a.m. to  7 p.m. at the Liberty Hill Annex.

Briggs Fall Festival @ Briggs Community Center

The Briggs community will host the 8th Annual Fall Festival at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Briggs Community Center.

The event, which is open to the public, features a costume contest, games and prizes, a cake walk, face painting, hayrides and food concessions.

Elvis Tribute @ Liberty Hill United Methodist Church

Deputy Constable Randy Hinson will perform The Spirit of Elvis gospel hour and rock and roll. No charge for admission.

Stonewall Ranch Fall Festival @ Bill Burden Elementary School parking lot

The annual Stonewall Ranch Fall Festival will be from 6 p.m. until dark on Oct. 31 in the parking lot of Bill Burden Elementary School.

The event features 16 games/activities and inflatables that are run by local businesses including sponsors Cherry’s Asian Atore, A Texas Girls Gun Store, Comanche Trail Vet, the Hill Community Church, Crossfit Liberty Hill and Little Crusaders Daycare.

The festival is a great time for people all over the area to come meet there neighbors, enjoy a safe family environment and enjoy lots of candy and free hot dogs. Everyone is welcome. For more information, visit
