VFW Pancake Supper
The Liberty Hill VFW will host its monthly Pancake Supper from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.
The all-you-can-eat supper features pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for $5 per person or $15 maximum for families.
The Pancake Supper, a monthly fundraiser for the VFW, is held on the third Tuesday evening of each month.
Also benefitting from the fundraising event is Liberty Hill United Methodist Church youth programs.

7th Annual Leander Bluegrass Festival
The City of Leander is hosting the 7th Annual Leander Bluegrass Festival on Sept. 28 from 7-10 p.m. and Sept. 29 from 6-11 p.m. at Robin Bledsoe Park, 601 S. Bagdad.
This is a free event that will feature live music, concessions, children’s activities, and a variety of vendors. Vendor applications are available online at www.leandertx.gov.
Leander’s Bluegrass Festival has grown from a one day festival to a two night festival filled with more bands, great music, and variety of bluegrass sounds. The Festival will feature local bands as well as some out of state talent. The bands will include: Geoff Union, The Upham Family Band, The Lost Pines, Piney Grove Rambles, The Show and Tellers, The Bottom Dollar String Band, and Posey Hill. This event is presented by Suddenlink.
The Liberty Hill Lions Club is hosting the 11th Annual Rip Roarin’ Ride at 8 a.m. Sept. 29 at Lions Foundation Park.
The cycling event benefits the many Lions Vision Programs, both locally and across the world. The organization also supports programs like the Leader Dog Program, camp for handicapped kids, Eye Bank in Manor, eye exams and eyeglassesrecycling, and a park for youth sports, community events, walking trails, public library and picnic area.
The ride begins at 8 a.m. from the Foundation Park and features routes of 14, 28, 50, 65 and 79 miles through the scenic rolling hills and valleys of Williamson and Burnet counties. Cyclists are invited to enjoy the beginning of fall in the Hill Country.
