The City of Liberty Hill lights the 50-foot light tree and invites all to enjoy hot chocolate and Christmas caroling. Co-sponsored by the Liberty Hill Chamber of Commerce.
Trail of Lights Cowboy Christmas Dance is family-friendly event featuring entertainment by Janice Maynard & The Country Stardust Band. Traditional country and Christmas music for the whole family. No charge for admission. Concessions available. No alcohol permitted in the park.
Jingle Bell Fun Run begins at 2pm with Christmas Parade following through downtown on Loop 332. Christmas Marketplace featuring vendors and food trucks from noon to 5 p.m at Lions Foundation Park.
VFW Pancake Supper The Liberty Hill VFW will host its monthly Pancake Supper from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20. The all-you-can-eat supper features pancakes, sausage, coffee and juice for $5 per person or $15 maximum for families. The Pancake Supper, a monthly fundraiser for the VFW, is held on the third Tuesday evening of each month. This month’s co-host is Liberty Hill Boy Scout Troop 196.
Men’s Conference features Dennis Rainey “Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood” will be the topic of a two-day Men’s Conference Jan 30-31 at Fellowship Church. The conference, which is open to the public at a cost of $20 that includes a workbook and dinner/breakfast, is presented by Dennis Rainey. Rainey is the President and CEO of FamilyLife, a sbsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ. He has authored or co-authored various books including Moments Together for Couples and Staying Close, and is senior editor of the HomeBuilders Couples Series. Rainey is also co-host of the syndicated radio program “FamilyLife Today.” Friday’s portion of the Men’s Conference is from 6-9:30 p.m. and the conference continues Saturday from 7-11:45 a.m. To make reservations, send email to email@example.com or call (512) 515-5579.
Fish Fry fundraiser benefits Debra Todd Liberty Hill United Methodist Church is hosting a community fish fry from 12 Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at the church to help raise funds for church member Debra Todd. Proceeds will be used to help Todd pay for double knee replacement surgery. Advance tickets begin Feb. 15. The $10 per plate donation includes fried fish, hush puppies, tarter sauce and cole slaw. All plates are taken to go.
Award-winning Chubby Knuckle Choir to benefit Hope House March 5 Executive Director of Hope House, Dave Gould, and his award-winning band, The Chubby Knuckle Choir, will provide free live music from 6-8 pm on Thursday, March 5, at Dahlia Café, 2450 RR 1868, in Liberty Hill. The entertainment is provided as part of a local fundraiser to benefit the children of Hope House, who experience profound intellectual and physical disabilities. The benefit show will also kick off Hope House’s participation in “I live here, I give here,” an online day of charitable giving known as “Amplify Austin.” Come out on Thursday, March 5 from 6-8 pm, enjoy free live music, and support the work of Hope House in Liberty Hill!
