Friends of the Mason Endres family are hosting a fundraising event at 7 p.m. April 18 at Liberty Hill High School Auditorium. Proceeds from “An Evening of Wow – Magic Show and Silent Auction” will go to defray some medical expenses for Mason, who was seriously injured in a crash during SXSW. More information about ticket sales is forthcoming.
Mission Liberty Hill Lutheran Church Invites Community to Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Mission Liberty Hill Lutheran Church, 15725 W. Highway 29 Ste. 7, gladly invites the Liberty Hill community to the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19 at Lion’s Foundation Park beginning at 10:00 AM. In addition to the Easter egg hunt, there will be other fun activities for children including bounce houses, a petting zoo, and pictures with the Easter Bunny. There will also be a food drive to benefit Operation Liberty Hill. Non-perishable food items will be collected and if 1000 lbs. of food is gathered Pastor Paul Frerichs, pastor of Mission Liberty Hill, has agreed to shave his head.
The Liberty Hill Lions Club is hosting the 23rd Annual Thrill of the Hill 5K Run/Walk April 19 at Durham Park Subdivision in Liberty Hill.
Race time is 8:30 a.m. and packet pickup is from 7:15-8:15 a.m. The course is certified by USATF.

Proceeds from the race benefit Texas Lions Camp, Lone Star Lions Eye Bank, eye exams and eyeglasses for needy children.
Williamson County’s Brown Santa Program will host its 3rd Annual “Givin’ & Golfin’ Tournament” on Thursday, April 24. The entry fee covers 18 holes of golf with cart, range balls, lunch, dinner, a gift bag, and two beverage tickets. Proceeds will benefit families in need during the 2014 holiday season.
The event is open to all individual golfers as well as 4-person team entries. Individuals will be paired with others to form complete teams as needed. Entry fees for individuals are $85 and teams can participate for $340. Registration and lunch begin at 12 Noon, with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start to follow.

Brown Santa is a program of the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. The program provides assistance to families living outside the city limits of any town or city within Williamson County that does not provide a similar program, including Liberty Hill. Brown Santa donations are utilized to purchase toys, books and other items needed to make the children’s holiday brighter. It is a registered corporation in the State of Texas that is operated under the direction of the Brown Santa Board of Directors and was granted non-profit tax exemption under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The BBQ Cookoff is a fundraiser for the Liberty Hill Livestock Association. Proceeds are used to purchase placing livestock shown at the Williamson County Livestock Show by Liberty Hill 4-H and FFA members.
Boots and Buckles Dance features Janice Maynard and the Country Stardust Band.
The family-friendly event, co-sponsored by The Liberty Hill Independent, will be held the first Saturday of each month.
