Church garage sale benefits the wildfire victims of last fall’s fires in Bastrop, Leander and Spicewood.
Sale is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 31.
Four-person scramble.
Sponsors are needed, starting at $100.
VFW hosts community Pancake Supper from 6-8 p.m. every third Tuesday of each month starting April 17.
All you can eat pumpkin and plain pancakes, with sausage and all the fixins’.
Registration deadline is April 11. Teams are for all LHISD students, teachers, alumni and parents/family members of students. Each team will consist of six to eight players and must have at least two female teammates. Cost is $5/player. Proceeds benefit Project Graduation.
CTBA sanctioned competition cook-off features cash prizes, great awards.
A Mighty Thomas Carnival will open Thursday evening, April 19, and will be open throughout the weekend event.
Live music on Friday and Saturday.
Proceeds from the event go toward the purchase of livestock for Liberty Hill 4H and FFA students.

The Liberty Hill Lions Club will celebrate the 21st running for the Thrill of the Hill 5K Run on April 28, 2012. The run will be held at beautiful Durham Park just southwest of Liberty Hill on FM 1869. Durham Park is a lovely subdivision where you will see horses running in pastures and bluebonnets growing in the fields. With the beauty of the course, excellent run support and of course the delicious homemade cookies makes this a great way to spend a spring Saturday morning.
There are award medals for age bracket winners and overall and masters winners. Start time is 8:30 AM near the Community Park and finishes in front of the Community Building. Registration received on or before 4/23/2012 is $18.00, registration received after 4/23/2012 and on run day will be $21.00. Participants will receive a quality t-shirt.
As always all profits will be used to provide scholarships for students of Liberty Hill ISD, to purchase eye exams and eyeglasses for the needy, support the Lions Camp for handicapped and diabetic children in Kerrville, TX and other Lions charities.
