Scott attended Lexington High School in Ohio, and graduated Cum Laude in 1977 with a Bachelor of Administration degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. After graduation, he became a CPA and worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse & Co. in Columbus, Ohio. Scott then worked at NCR Corporation in Dayton, Ohio in several management positions.
In 1987, Scott moved to Los Angeles to start his Masters in Economics degree and worked as an Executive Recruiter for SourceFinance, where he was recognized as the top recruiter in the country. It was in Los Angeles that he met his wife, Linda. They married in 1990 and moved to her hometown of Austin, Texas. In 1999, they bought a small piece of property that he loved dearly in Liberty Hill, Texas. He proudly called the property the Texas Buckeye Ranch, and was an avid Ohio State fan. It was seldom that he missed a “Bucks” football game! Scott owned businesses in town and served on the Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees for several years. He attended Liberty Hill United Methodist Church for many years.
In addition to the ranch, Scott’s other loves included his family, friends, his many animals and, of course, fishing on Lake of the Woods in Ontario, Canada. He vacationed in Sioux Narrows every year for almost 50 years, and his friends there became a second family to Scott.
God bless and keep you Scott! You are missed. A private celebration of life service will be held in January 2014.
