Ruthey Fay (Maynard) Brinson, age 83, of Liberty Hill, Texas went to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 13, 2013. She was born July 24, 1930 in Jonestown, Texas to Frank and Lorna Maynard. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 10 years, Freddy Park, her late husband of 24 years, Jim Brinson, her parents, and her sisters Frankie Dickerson and Nila Berry.
Ruthey is survived by her two sisters, Linda Wade and Ina Rychlik; her three children, Alice (Park) Conrad, Freddy Park Jr., and Chester Park; her three stepchildren, Lesa Scott, Mary Glover, and Darla Bunton; their spouses, 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruthey was a loving mother and grandmother who inspired all those around her to be kind, loving, and respectful Christians. She was an ambitious, independent, strong willed woman who wore many hats. Ruthey worked for the US Treasury, was a CPS agent, and a prominent business owner upon her retirement.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. for family and friends at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home in Leander.
A memorial celebrating her life will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Hall Baptist Church, 301 County Road 259 in Liberty Hill. Burial followed in the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Nathan Conrad, Aric Vallierie, Steven Conrad, Jake Park, Luke Park, Troy Herron and Mason Herron. Honorary Pallbearers were Trey Park and Adam Conrad.
