Victoria Weise Tatro was enfolded in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ early Thursday morning, November 14, 2013. Vicki courageously battled multiple cancers for over two years and spent the last month at home with her family and the loving care of her hospice angels and caring neighbors and friends who looked after her and prayed with her every day. Vicki lived her faith and believed in 2 Corinthians 12:9, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Beside being a strong, supportive spouse, Vicki was a long time horse woman and loved breeding her American Morgans. She still rode her last bred filly Figuron Miss Hollywood, her special mare. She shared the love of horses with her daughter Danielle, an accomplished eventer, and her son Alex, the designated stable hand and manure mover. Few things delighted her more than tending to barn chores and loving the horses on their ties in the barn aisle. Brushing, washing, braiding and organizing tack was a favorite therapy and getaway from a busy schedule.
Vicki retired from guiding large corporate accounts through hardware, software and services acquisitions as a Senior Sales Account Executive with Hewlett Packard. She was a multiple year Decathalon Winner through sales success with Disney, GTE, Countrywide, DirecTV and many others over a 28-year career. She loved the team environment and missed all of her co-workers after shifting her focus to the kids, home and her new acres in Sundance Ranch.
As a jump into anything doer, Vicki loved to help family, friends and acquaintenances live better, more meaningful lives. Her constant search for new Bible studies deepened her faith and helped her minister to her husband and children while filling a home with love, laughter and a “let’s do something new” attitude.
