He was born March 4, 1945, in Andice, Texas to Hugh and Vivian Sarah (Person) Tucker. Donald married Debbie Bobbitt on February 10, 1967. He worked as a Union carpenter for 20+ years until he retired. He later became self-employed working as a carpenter serving the residents of Georgetown and the surrounding areas. Donald was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Jarrell.
Donald was a devoted husband and great papa, dad, brother, uncle and friend who will live in our hearts forever. His four grandchildren meant the world to him. He was by far the best Santa Claus and Easter Bunny in the world.
Preceding him in death are his parents Hugh and Vivian Tucker and a sister Norma Lockhart.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie Tucker of Jarrell; sons, James Tucker and partner Greg McGee of Georgetown and Danny Tucker and wife Janice of Jarrell; sister, Lucy Dill of Austin; brothers, Hugh Tucker and wife Mary of Bastrop and Dwight Tucker of Elgin; brothers-in-law, Bill Lockhart of Florence and Tim Bobbitt and wife Jodie of Liberty Hill; sister-in-law, Elaine Chambers and husband Steve of Jarrell; four grandchildren, Daniel Tucker, Sarah Tucker, Nicholas Tucker, and Julie Tucker all of Jarrell; nephews, Garry Dill, Glenn Dill, Gregory Dill, Hugh Tucker, Charlie Tucker, Eric Bobbitt, Matthew Bobbitt, Neil Chambers, Dwight Tucker and Wesley Lockhart; nieces, Wanda Lockhart, Diana Perkins and Tammy Logan; and close family friend, Roy Campa.
Friends attended a visitation with the family on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services were held on Monday, June 3, 2013, in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Interment followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill. Serving as pallbearers were his nephews.
