Sculptures will find permanent home in Lions Foundation Park

Work crews from Bartlett Cock, the construction contractor for Liberty Hill ISD, used heavy equipment this week to move a sculpture from behind the Liberty Hill Junior High into Lions Foundation Park. The sculpture was moved to make way for a fire lane that is under construction behind the school, but eventually all of the giant works of art from the 1976 International Sculpture Symposium will be moved from that campus into the park. The limestone sculpture moved this week was created by T.J. Mabrey and is estimated to weigh about 7,000 pounds.
