Three employees of the City of Liberty Hill resigned in recent days creating vacancies in the Police Department, the Municipal Court and at City Hall.
Officer George Nassour, a six-year veteran of the Liberty Hill Police Department who previously held the rank of Captain, submitted notice of his resignation Monday. His last day on patrol was Tuesday night.
Nassour’s wife, Mindy Nassour, also resigned Monday. She has been serving as a receptionist at City Hall.
Also resigning in recent days was Jodie Wells, who was serving as deputy court clerk in the Municipal Court.
Rachel Austin, whose last day on the job was July 6, resigned from the position of deputy city secretary earlier this month. Mrs. Austin was responsible for the finances of city government.
The resignations leave city government with six full-time employees and two part-time employees — down almost 50 percent from the number of employees on staff in April prior to the resignation of City Manager Manuel De La Rosa.
