The boys and girls 25-3A All-District honors were released recently and Liberty Hill is well represented, including a sweep of the MVP title.
For the girls, senior Jessica Green won the MVP award, while Kourtney Bevers took home the Defensive MVP.
Green averaged 12 points, 6.6 assists, 4.5 steals and 3.1 rebounds per game. Bevers led the district with 4.6 steals per game. But also led the team with 15.8 points a game, 69 made three-pointers and shot 80.5 percent from the free throw line.
Seniors Taylor Russell and Jordan Redmond made the All-District First-Team. And Seniors Lorrie Potts and Macy Floyd were named to the All-District Second-Team.
Green, Bevers and Russell were also named to the All-State team.
Sisters Stephanie and Maddie Metzger were both named in the Honorable Mention category.
On the boys’ side, junior Shane LaCaille was named the MVP of District 25-3A and fellow junior Blake Danielak took the Defensive MVP title.
LaCaille averaged 18 points, 7.4 assists and just over 2 steals per game for the season. Danielak led the district in blocks averaging 5, while scoring 15 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
Liberty Hill seniors Stephen Graves and Tyeler Greenstreet were named to the All-District First-Team. And seniors Corey McKinzey and Blake Hare made the All-District Second-Team.
Senior Robert Koepl was also recognized for his contributions on the court with the District 25-3A’s only Honorable Mention.
